Senior Vice President, President of Operations

Marcellus began his career in management in 1981 as a franchise consultant with Hardee’s Foods, a national restaurant chain.

 

In 1993 he joined Village Green Companies, a vertically integrated real estate private equity firm with a large multifamily portfolio in the Upper Midwest. During his time with Village Green, he held virtually every position in operations, from leasing consultant to Vice President of Operations.

 

In 2002 Marcellus relocated his family from Minnesota to Texas where he assumed a leadership role at CWS Apartment Homes. During his 19-year tenure with CWS he managed regional operations and eventually operations for the entire company. In his most recent role as Director of Operations, Marcellus assembled a distinguished leadership team and helped CWS grow its portfolio to 107 assets across seven states.

 

He is experienced in scaling up organizations and employing a people-focused leadership style. His management approach has delivered industry-leading results in property operations and added enduring value for employees, customers, and investors. Fundamentally, Marcellus employs a values-based perspective. This frame of reference enables him to institute principles that support transparency and continual commitment to other’s success.

 

In 2021 Marcellus joined LURIN  as President of Operations where he is determined to engage all his experience and talents in building one of the very best management teams in the industry.
