Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Jon P. Venetos founded LURIN in 2016 and serves as CEO and General Partner of LURIN. Previously, Jon was Senior Managing Director and Head of Surveyor Capital Ltd at Citadel LLC. Surveyor Capital is a global equity, long/short multi-manager strategy. From 2009 to 2016, Jon was a member of Citadel’s Investment Committee.

 

Prior to joining Citadel in 2006, Jon was the Deputy Head of the Absolute Return Strategies Group and Senior Portfolio Manager for the Topiary Select portfolios at Deutsche Bank. Jon was also a Director at Thomas H. Lee Capital, LLC, the leveraged buyout investor’s family office. Jon served in various portfolio management and analyst roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Alternative Strategies.

 

In addition, Jon has been involved in his family’s Residential Real Estate business for the past twenty years with varying responsibilities from an assistant to the CEO to financial advisor to the CEO.  Jon’s family has been redeveloping and developing multi-family residential real estate in the Chicagoland area, Northern Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin for over 40 years. The platform is fully integrated from acquisition to disposition and renovation to day-to-day property management.

 

Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Boston University.
